Mare Xstransportation won ATBA-sponsored race at Rillito

The five-year-old mare Xstransportation won the ATBA-sponsored 6th race at Rillito Park on Saturday, February 18, 2012. The 5-1/2 furlong race drew six starters, two geldings and four females. Carl S. Williams guided the dark bay/brown mare to victory for trainer Jesus Fernando Ortega Sr. and owner Karla De Jesus Garcia. Jo Lanny and Unusually Brite came in second and third, respectively. By Terrell, out of Splendid Power (Wolf Power (SAF)), Xstransportation was bred by Landis T.L. Penry in Washington. ATBA board members Wende Macumber (Secretary/Treasurer) and Bill Matthews presented the winner with an artfully embroidered jacket donated by the ATBA.
