Favorites swept the four featured events on the Arizona Breeders’ Futurity day card at Turf Paradise on Dec. 10, led by a seven-length romp by heavily favored Yo Y Me in the colts and geldings division of the Futurity.

Yo Y Me, recent winner of colts and geldings division of the ATBA Fall Sales Stakes, put away closest challenger Sedona Sunrise at the top of the stretch and galloped on to victory in 1:11.45 for six furlongs. The Dixie Chatter gelding was bred by Fleming Thoroughbred Farm and races for trainer Kevin Eikleberry, William Matthews and J. Lloyd Yother.

It was a big day for Triple AAA Ranch, breeder of the winners of the other three stakes events. Kingsley was a first-time starter when entering the gate for the fillies division of the Arizona Breeders’ Futurity, and she came through at odds of 6-5 with a determined three-quarter-length victory over Top Hat Wildcat, runner-up in the fillies division of the ATBA Fall Sales Stakes. Kingsley, trained by Kory Owens for Triple AAA Ranch, is a daughter of Top Hat and matron French Debutante, making her a full sister to such stars as Uh Oh Bango and Top Debutante.

The Cactus Wren attracted 2015 winner Rocked Twice, but it was 2014 Cactus Wren winner Rockin Home who got home first as the 5-year-old Rocky Bar gelding came running late for a one-length victory over Coolidge in 1:17.58 for six and a half furlongs. Rockin Home races for Tamara Metzen and was saddled by David Van Winkle.

The Cactus Flower, for fillies and mares, also featured a late-running winner in Sierrita, who led home stablemate Myrna Lou to win by four and three-quarter lengths in 1:18.52 for the same six and half-furlong distance as the Cactus Wren. F.C. Frazier trains the 3-year-old Top Hit filly, who runs for Linden Hatch and Brent Stapley.
