With an explosive late run, Onein Vermillion ran away from rivals in the Turf Paradise Open Spring Futurity on May 7, winning by two and a quarter lengths over Diamonds Danzing while even-money choice Beyond Awesome tired to finish third after leading to the top of the stretch.

Bred in California by Richard Barton Enterprises, the Army Mule colt was timed in :56.50 for five furlongs for owner Jonathan Kalman and trainer Esteban Martinez.

Consigned by Few Acre Farm as an agent, Onein Vermillion sold for $26,000 at the 2021 ATBA Fall Yearling and Mixed Sale.
