Name “Running for Annie” approved by The Jockey Club

The weanling filly donated to benefit injured jockey Anne von Rosen is now named “Running for Annie.” The run-away winner of the naming contest, where horsemen and breeders voted with their wallets for one of three name choices, was approved by The Jockey Club. Running for Annie, a daughter of Arizona’s perennial leading sire Margie’s Wildcat and out of the multiple stakes producer Oklahoma Morn, hails from the immediate family of multiple Grade 1 stakes-winning millionaire Life at Ten. The flashy chestnut filly will be sold in October at the 2014 ATBA Fall Mixed sale with all her proceeds to benefit Anne von Rosen.
