McKenzie Honey and Yo Y Me, first and second in the ATBA Spring Sales Stakes, returned to win their respective divisions of the ATBA Fall Sales Stakes at Turf Paradise on Nov. 5.
McKenzie Honey, a Kentucky-bred daughter of Parading, turned the filly division into a runaway, leading from the start and going on to win by eight lengths over Top Hat Wildcat in 1:11.02 for six furlongs. It was the third win from six starts for odds-on McKenzie Honey, who is owned by Barbara Eakin, Jonathan Nance and Steve Smith, and trained by Nance.
Later on the card, Yo Y Me tracked pacesetting French General and Howdy Kingkowboy before moving on to win by a length over the latter as the even-money favorite. Bred by Fleming Thoroughbred Farm, the Dixie Chatter gelding was timed in 1:10.92 as he won his second straight race for trainer Kevin Eikleberry, William Matthews and J. Lloyd Yother.
