Loud N Proud prevailed in the Arizona Stallion Stakes at Turf Paradise on March 30, tracking pacesetter Hit the Deck into the stretch and holding off filly stablemate Let Me Fly to win by a neck. Stretching out to a mile for the first time, Loud N Proud traveled in the distance in 1:40.19. It was the second straight victory for the Margie’s Wildcat gelding, and fourth win in seven lifetime starts.
The first two across the finish were both bred by Fleming Thoroughbred Farm, and the winner is owned by Marvin Fleming, Kevin Eikleberry, J. Lloyd Yother and William Gessman.
Let Me Fly, wide on both turns, was a determined runner-up, wrapping up a one-two finish for trainer Eikleberry.
