Death of trainer and ATBA board member Molly Pearson-Anderson

The Arizona Thoroughbred Breeders Association is saddened by the unexpected passing of our board member Molly Pearson-Anderson. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family. Molly was greatly loved and respected by all our racing family. She will be deeply missed.

Molly was a successful horsewoman. She won 914 races and her runners had purse earnings of more than $11,043,691 in her career. This year, she had won 18 times from 110 starters and had purse earnings of $245,453. Her last runner was Tactical Attack, who finished second in the Coyote Stakes at Arizona Downs.

Arizona was her home base but she enjoyed summers in California. She promoted Arizona-Breds and stood her own stallion, Bocephus, at Bar Diamond Ranch. Her determination and love for everyone (two- or four-legged) will forever echo around the barns and grandstands of Arizona and California racing.

A memorial service is tentatively planned for October in the winner’s circle at Turf Paradise.
