On the morning of Feb. 12, ATBA President Kevin Owens, Vice President Dennis Miller and Lobbyist Susan Stevens attended a hearing of the Senate Natural Resources and Rural Affairs Committee, chaired by Senator Steve Pierce at the Arizona State Senate. The ATBA registered its support of Senate Bill 1282 – Advanced Deposit Wagering, the bill passed a committee vote with a 7-2 margin as it continues through the legislative process. This bill, if passed by both houses of the legislature contains provisions that would fund Arizona Breeder Awards.
