The seven and a half-furlong Arizona Stallion Stakes was decided in the final strides as Hey Ez Money edged past favored Lieutenant Margie to win by a neck in 1:31.20 over a firm turf course. The top two overtook pacesetting Sondrio and Heber in upper stretch and opened up on the field, eventually finishing two and a quarter lengths ahead of third-place Waste It Wisely.
Hey Ez Money was bred by Robert and Margaret Conner, and is trained by F.C. Frazier. The Ez Dreamer gelding is owned by Tamara Anderson, Brent Stapley, Delwyn Ellis and Linden Hatch.
The $39,492 Arizona Stallion Stakes is for 3-year-olds conceived by a nominated stallion standing in Arizona.
